Easy Pizza Recipe with a Twist

The exact history of pizza has been debated. This is largely because pizza has evolved over many years and been prepared in various ways, although similar. Before pizzerias became a common thing, you could often see street vendors selling slices of pizza on the street. In today’s modern world, you can get pizza delivered to your home easily and find pizza restaurants on most any street.

Pizza is certainly a favorite food, whether you enjoy it with just hot and bubbly cheese or the works. My Easy Pizza Recipe with a Twist isn’t a traditional pizza because I use tortillas as the crust. It’s very easy to make and tastes quite good. It’s also great for the kids to make as it doesn’t take much preparation. They can have fun coming up with various pizza topping combinations. Whether you want pizza for lunch or dinner or just a snack while watching a great movie, you can prepare this in very little time and be satisfied with the results.

Easy Pizza Ingredients

wheat or flour tortilla (1 per person)
pizza sauce of your choice
shredded cheese (I use a casserole blend, but mozzarella is good)
for extra flavor you can add a bit of thyme and/or Italian seasoning

Add any combination of pizza toppings:

mushrooms, onions, olives, banana peppers, sausage, hamburger, pepperoni, bacon, pineapple, ham, etc.

Easy Pizza Directions

Spray aluminum foil or baking sheet with Pam. Place tortilla on pan. Spread pizza sauce on tortilla. Add a thin layer of cheese and then toppings of your choice. Add another layer of cheese. Bake at 400 degrees until tortilla is crisp and cheese is bubbly.

Cut pizza crossways and crossways again to get four slices from one tortilla for easier serving. You can serve the pizza alone or with a delciious salad.

Note: You can also experiment with using flatbread for the crust.

Food recipe: how to make California sushi roll

Sushi is everyone’s favorite. It’s easy to eat and fancy for a date too. It’s also very easy to make at home too. You will need sushi rice, dried seaweed sheet, avocado, crab meat, mayonnaise, and salt. Once you have these gather you’re now ready to make the sushi roll. The portion will depend on how much you want to prepare.

You will need to estimate according to how many rolls that you need to make. The more rolls mean you will need more ingredients. You would start by smashing your avocado. You would mix the crab meat with salt and mayonnaise. You would then need a flat clean surface to work on the roll. You would then put out your dried seaweed sheet to begin rolling.

You would put the sushi rice on top of the seaweed sheet and then press it. You would then sprinkle the sesame seeds over the sushi rice. Now you’re ready to turn the seaweed with rice over and then start to place avocado and crab along the length of the seaweed rice paper. You would then press your ingredient inside the cylinder shape sushi and then remove the sushi and then cut it into roll. You would cut it into finger size of course. Sushi can be put in the fridge and then serve later. You can try this recipe for finger bites food for a party or holiday occasion. Sushi is well like by everyone. You can use a shaper or you can roll it on your own. You can serve it with sauce.

Why I Make Simple Raw Food Recipes

Usually my raw food recipes are nothing more than a couple of ingredients.  Something like a blueberry banana smoothie is nothing more than bananas and blueberries (and water, if that counts).

Why is that?  Why don’t I offer more complicated recipes?

Complicated Recipes Digest Poorly

Sure, the typical raw recipes you find with lots of flavor-enhancing spices and texture-improving fats are tasty.  But are they really healthy for you?

Dr. Douglas Graham, author of The 80/10/10 Diet: Balancing Your Health, Your Weight, and Your Life, One Luscious Bite at a Time, has a great saying (I believe it’s from the Perfect Health Program) that:

style=”color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; “>

“If it looks like pizza and if it tastes like pizza, it is going to digest just like pizza.”

>

In other words, while you may be eating “raw” pizza made up of dehydrated flax seeds, avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, agave nectar, salt, etc., you are still eating a poorly combined, fatty, sugary, salty meal.

Yes, the raw pizza recipes are clearly better for you than the real thing.  But BETTER doesn’t mean HEALTHY.

I eat raw because I want to be healthy and I’m sure you do too.  That is why I consume simple, properly combined raw food recipes that digest easily, fuel my body, and taste delicious.

Are Your Recipes Simple and Healthy or Complicated and Junky?

There’s an easy way to find out if your raw recipes are healthy or not.  Once you finish a meal, simply listen to your body.

Is your stomach gurgly?  Are you bloated?  Are you gassy?  Do you feel numb and/or fatigued?  Do you have an unpleasant taste in your mouth?

All of these are signs that the food you ate did not agree with you.  You likely ate a poorly combined meal, probably high in fat and sugar.
